Iggy’s Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich
The sandwich as we know it today was made popular in England in 1762 by John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich.
Montagu had seen meats and dips and cheeses ‘sandwiched’ between layers of bread when he visited the Mediterranean and he brought the delicious idea home with him.
To make a Toasted Peanut butter and banana sandwich, you will need:
2 pieces of bread
1 banana
Peanut butter*
Instructions:
Toast your bread.
Spread the peanut butter on one slice.
Then, peel the banana and slice it up.
Place your sliced banana pieces on the buttered slice of toast and then cover it up with the other slice.
Cut and serve!
*other options: sunbutter, almond butter, cashew butter
